Home of Ashmore Cheese
Cheesemakers of Canterbury are the makers
of the award winning hand-made Ashmore farmhouse cheese.
This naturaly rinded cheese has been made from the unparsturised
milk of Holestein and Fresian cows, sourced from local Canterbury
farms, since 1983 in Dargate, East Kent. Each cheese is left
to mature for around 6-8 months and is stored traditionally,
on aged wooden boards.
This prize winning cheese is full of deep earthy flavours
which combine the strength of a cheddar, the creamy texture
of Mature Caerphilly and just a hint of blue. All in all,
it packs quite a punch!
Cheesemakers of Canterbury are currently developing
other cheeses alongside Ashmore and look forward to
bringing you the delights of goats and sheep cheeses made
from superb quality local milk.
